Power and Light Committee
-- Accepted certified election results.
-- Accepted the bid of Drake-Scruggs of Springfield, Ill., in the amount of $38,167 and authorizing the purchase of one Versalift Model VST-36001 Aerial Unit.
-- Approved Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $13,200 relative to the district sewers No. 2R, 2R1 and 2R4 contract.
-- Approved Pay Request #1 in the amount of $37,216.69 to PR Developers Inc. under the district sewers No. 2R, 2R1 and 2R4 (Grandview Acres) contract.
-- Authorized semi-annual payment of $5,000 to Chamber of Commerce for services rendered under existing contract.
-- Authorized payment of $3,100.12 to Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission relative to the city's comprehensive plan update contract.
-- Approved the voluntary annexation of property owned by Weiss Land Development, L.C., Paul and Peggy Fisher and the City of Jackson.
-- Approved the voluntary annexation of property owned by Doyle L. and Robyn M. Morton.
-- Authorized a contractual agreement with Hastings & Chivetta Architects, Inc., of St. Louis and approved additional expenditures of $20,000 relative to continuation of the multipurpose building feasibility study.
-- Approved an ordinance re-adopting Article VII Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances.
Street Committee
-- Approved the appointment of Fire Chief Brad Golden as emergency preparedness coordinator for the City of Jackson.
-- Authorized the city's pre-payment of its estimated local use tax liability in the amount of $144,671 as a lump sum payment before May 1.
-- Authorized public works director to solicit engineering proposals relative to sewer system inflow and infiltration study.
-- Approved a license application for 5 percent beer by drink for David McAllister for Mac's Smokehouse, Inc., at 101A Tower Circle Drive.
