* Held hearing under Chapter 88 RSMo, relative to the South Bast Street Improvement Project.

* Held hearing to consider the rezoning request for all the property addressed as 1600 N. High St. from R-2 (single family residential) to C-2 (general commercial) as submitted by Ronald Clark and Bobbie Clark.

Action Items

Power and Light Committee

* Approved the semi-annual financial statement ending Dec. 31, 1999, and authorizing statement to be published in local newspaper.

* Amended the 1999 Budget.

* Accepted bid of Big D Electric Inc. of Eldorado, Ill., in the amount of $106,707.04 for site work, foundations and grounding work, and the bid of Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution Inc. of Raleigh, N.C., in the amount of $85,545 for vacuum breakers under the West Substation Upgrade Project.

* Authorized a contractual agreement with Big D electric Inc. relative to the site work, foundations and grounding installations under the West Substation Upgrade Project.

* Authorized a contractual agreement with Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution Inc. relative to the purchase of vacuum breakers under the West Substation Upgrade Project.

Street Committee

* Approved an ordinance amending Chapter 24 of the City Code by repealing Section 24-26 (10) relating to the Motorcycle Safety Trust Fund.

* Approved an ordinance amending the Crosswalk Designation Ordinance, Schedule XVI by adding thereto new crosswalk designations.

* Approved an ordinance amending the One Way Street Ordinance, Schedule I by adding thereto additional one-way street designations.

Executive Session

* Held executive session to discuss litigation, personnel and purchase of property.
