Jackson residents are being asked to help clean ice storm debris from City Park.
"This is simple limb removal," said Shane Anderson, director of Jackson's parks and recreation department. "We plan to move limbs to the side of the road and chip it later. We don't plan on running any type of heavy equipment. All the people running chainsaws are city employees volunteering their time."
He said all ages of people, individuals or groups, are welcome, but should bring gloves. Everyone will work at his or her own pace.
"If there's anything else that happens to be down, like fences, we may have to do something about that," Anderson said.
He said people can decide how much time they want to put into the project.
Cleanup volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. March 8, 15 and 29 at the Jackson City Pool parking lot. For more information call Jackson Parks and Recreation, 204-8848.
