The Jackson Board of Aldermen tabled a vote on a special-use permit for an in-home massage business at 915 Priest St. following opposition at Tuesday night's public hearing. Three people spoke in opposition to the business, citing the street and neighborhood were not designed to accommodate additional traffic generated from the business. Mayor Barbara Lohr said whenever there is opposition at a public hearing, the board tables voting until more information is gathered. Aldermen did approve special-use permits for a mobile storage facility and an attached oversized sign. Aldermen Larry Cunningham and Dale Rauh voted against the permit for the storage facility, which would have its wheels removed and be painted to match the existing structures on the property. The unit will be at 1011 W. Jackson Blvd. The attached oversized sign at 2705 E. Jackson Blvd. was also approved, but with another dissenting vote from Cunningham. The sign measures 10 feet by 20 feet.
