NEW YORK -- Michael Jackson's parents say he's innocent of the child molestation allegations against him, and have offered to adopt his children if they're taken away from him. "Some people are trying to accuse him of being a pedophile, and that is not true," Katherine Jackson said in an interview airing today on ABC's "20/20."
Relatives of rappers file lawsuit alleging slander
LOS ANGELES -- Snoop Dogg's mother and rapper Daz Dillinger's wife have sued Marion "Suge" Knight for allegedly slandering them in a song he produced. Beverly Green and Maria Watkins filed the lawsuit against the rap mogul claiming the song "Tha Row," from the movie soundtrack for "Dysfunktional Family," contains graphic lyrics saying Knight was sleeping with Watkins, the wife of rapper Dillinger.
'Beverly Hillbillies' actor wants 'Hillbillies' casino
CARSON CITY, Nev. -- Max Baer Jr. has gone to court in an effort to build his proposed $54 million Beverly Hillbillies Mansion & Casino in a shopping center he shares with The Glenbrook Co. and J.C. Penney. Plans for the casino include a 200-foot flaming oil derrick, 30,000-square-foot casino with 800 slot machines and 16 game tables, a 240-room hotel and restaurants -- all keying on "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV series, in which Baer played Jethro Bodine.
Mickey Mantle items bring in $3.25 million
NEW YORK -- An auction of almost 300 pieces of Mickey Mantle memorabilia raised $3.25 million, with the Hall of Famer's 1957 MVP trophy generating the top price of $319,250. The Mantle family will use the proceeds to set up a college trust fund for his four grandchildren.
