J. KENSEY RUSSELL GETS SILVER BEAVER AWARD

J. Kensey Russell of Cape Girardeau recently was presented the Silver Beaver Award by the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, in St. Louis.

The award is the highest a local council may present to an adult volunteer. It is presented to volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to Scouting over 10 or more years.

Russell is an Eagle Scout and has served as a pack committee member, cubmaster, assistant scoutmaster, and scoutmaster for the last 12 years. He also has served in various positions on the district level and is district chairman of Shawnee District.

Russell's father, Joseph J. Russell of Cape Girardeau, also is a recipient of award.
