JACKSON -- The St. Louis Iron Mountain and Southern Railway at Jackson will hold special Mother's Day rides this weekend and will hold "Indian Days" May 16 and 17.

Special steam train rides will be held especially for Mom on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m. Mothers ride free with a paying passenger.

A Murder Mystery train ride is scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m.

During `Indian Days,' private collectors will display drills, axes, spears, banner stones, discoidals, pipes and other memorabilia.

The displays can be seen from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 16 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 17.

Sightseeing steam trains will be attacked by Indians on horseback May 16 at 9 and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and May 17 at 1 and 3 p.m. A dinner train is scheduled at 6 p.m. May 16.
