Authorities have said Brian, 9, died after he was bound and gagged the night of Dec. 29 in the family's home in Overland Park. Neil Edgar took Brian's lifeless body to University of Kansas Medical Center the next morning, authorities said.

According to court documents, Christy Edgar allegedly took evidence, including tape, socks, a scrub brush and liquid soap, to Williams' home in Kansas City.

Police who searched the home reported finding evidence that included plastic twist ties, a section of duct tape, a telephone cord and photographs. The Edgars' 16-year-old son told police that some items had been burned in the fireplace.

Williams is to make her first appearance in Johnson County District Court on Thursday.
