State officials are investigating a fatal house fire that occurred in Tamms, Illinois, early Wednesday morning.
Bill Dunning, 65, died in the blaze that began about 5 a.m., although officials said other family members were able to escape.
The Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating, with the assistance of the Illinois State Police. A spokesperson said no additional details about the fire were available Friday, citing the ongoing investigation.
An autopsy by the Alexander County coroner will determine the cause of Dunning's death.
