INTERSTATE 55 ACCIDENT KILLS HANNIBAL MAN

HAYTI -- A Hannibal man was killed and his wife injured in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Pemiscot County.

Robert C. Bogart, 75, was killed in the accident, which happened about 9 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 55 near the 14-mile marker.

Bogart was a passenger in the vehicle. His wife, Dorothy, 72, also was injured. She was taken to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said the Bogarts' vehicle ran off the road and overturned. Robert Bogart was partially ejected from the vehicle.

Both were wearing seat belts.
