Margaret "Maggie" Mahoney has been appointed interim executive director of Otahki Girl Scout Council, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Elsie Miller. Miller has served as executive director since October 1991.

After retiring in 1992, she began as a member of the Interim Executive Director group of Girl Scout United States of America staff. Each are given a council assignment in which to serve until a replacement is hired. Mahoney will be with Otahki Council until Aug. 26.

Mahoney, originally from England, and her husband, John, who is retired from the military, live in Leavenworth, Kan.
