1993: Cape Girardeau native Chris Buehrle starts National Asset Recovery Service Inc., or NARS, with five employees in the St. Louis area.

Oct. 17, 2006: A job fair draws about 900 applicants for jobs at a proposed NARS call center in Cape Girardeau, dispelling Buehrle's concerns about the availability of employees willing to work for a starting pay rate of $8.50 an hour plus benefits.

November 2006: The company's first 100 local employees start work at a temporary location at Auburn Park Place.

June 2007: NARS announces it has completed the move from Auburn Park Place to a permanent location in the former Sears building at 2102 William St.

August 2007: Cape Girardeau's effort to attract NARS is named the Governor's Community Project of the Year at the annual Governor's Economic Development Conference. The effort included a property tax abatement for building improvements and a Community Improvement District for the Town Plaza Shopping Center that increased sales tax on retail goods.

January 2008: NARS announces plans to add 100 positions to its Cape Girardeau staff.

December 2009: Reprise Management Group, an affiliate of Miami-based HIG Capital, a global equity private firm, acquires NARS.

June 2011: NARS announces plans to add 100 jobs in Cape Girardeau.

July 2012: NARS announces plans to expand again, with 100 full- and part-time positions. The company reports this will bring its total workforce to 700 employees in Cape Girardeau.

January 2013: NARS changes its name to Integrity Solution Services.

July 11, 2013: Integrity Solution Services announces plans to close its Cape Girardeau office, eliminating 400 full-time positions.
