Students from the Cape Girardeau Area Vocational-Technical School were inducted into the National Vocational-Technical Honor Society last week.
The organization is for outstanding students enrolled in occupational, vocational or technical programs. The purpose of the organization is to promote the ideals of service, leadership, honesty, career development and skilled workmanship.
Students must earn at minimum of two units of credit in a vocational technical program and must have a grade point average of 7.0 or better in all subjects.
Students must also be active in extracurricular activities or have work experience.

Cape Girardeau Central High School: Theresa Baer, Kristi Blattner, Michelle Eakins, Kyle Griffith, Tom Hammontree, Julie Hargraves, Jo Ann Kirkwood, Lori Knoth, Sara Krigbaum, Christina Melton, Tina Minor, Meike Newell, Traci Sander, Jeanne Steger, Joy Todd, Brooke Welker.
Jackson High School: Phillip Kohler, Rodney Matthews, Holly Owens, Jennifer Rice, Doug Wadley.
Notre Dame High School: Leigh Asmus.
Chaffee High School: Heather Harrell.
Scott City High School: Justin Sullivan.
Advance High School: Connie Younger.
