In federal court: Man sentenced to 30 months on drug-related charges

The U.S. attorney's office released the following information Friday for defendants who appeared before U.S. District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr.

Age: 28

Residence: Cape Girardeau.

Charges: Two felony counts of distribution of cocaine base and one felony count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Sentence: 30 months

Summary: On Oct. 15, Ransom was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on Interstate 55 in Scott County, Mo. A search of Ransom revealed 10.8 grams of cocaine base hidden in his shoe. This case was investigated by the Cape Girardeau Police Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
