In federal court: Dexter man pleads guilty to possession of child pornography

The U.S. attorney's office released the following information Monday for defendants who appeared before U.S. District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr.

PLEADED GUILTY

Name: Michael Lee Wilson

Residence: Dexter, Mo.

Charges: Possession of child pornography

Summary: Wilson admitted that on Nov. 8, 2010, law enforcement officers contacted him at his residence in response to a 911 report that he possessed inappropriate pictures of a minor female. Wilson consented to a search of his cellphone and a video camera. Forensic analysis revealed that the phone and camera contained images of a minor child engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Wilson was sentenced to 135 months on two counts of possession of child pornography, after which he will be placed on supervised release for the remainder of his life.
