The following information was released Tuesday by the federal prosecutor's office for defendants appearing before U.S. District Judge Rodney W. Sippel.
PLEADED GUILTY
Name: Raymond Polk
Age: 60
Residence: Scott County, Mo.
Charge: One felony count of possession of methampetamine with the intent to distribute more than 5 grams; one count of money laundering
Sentencing: Oct. 22. He faces a maximum of 40 years in prison and a $2 million fine, or both.
Summary: With his plea, Polk admitted that on Nov. 17 and 18 he sold methamphetamine to a Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force confidential informant from his residence. When a search warrant was executed later, investigators found methamphetamine and other items related to the use and distribution of the drug, including $400 of "buy money" in Polk's pants pocket.
