PLEADED GUILTY
Name: Clyde David Franklin
Age: 33
Residence: Mississippi County, Mo.
Charge: One felony count of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine
Sentencing: Set for May 17. Franklin faces a maximum punishment of 20 years' imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
Summary: On Oct. 5, SEMO Drug Task Force officers made contact with two people purchasing pseudoephedrine in the Cape Girardeau area who said they were purchasing the pills at the request of Franklin and another person to make methamphetamine. The two cooperated with police and delivered the pills to Franklin in Bertrand, Mo., who was arrested afterward with a small amount of methamphetamine on him.
