The following information was released by the office of federal prosecutor Catherine Hanaway for defendants who appeared in federal court Monday before U.S. District Judge E. Richard Webber.
SENTENCED
Name: Felix Jones
Age: 35
Residence: Cape Girardeau
Charge: Possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute.
Sentence: 70 month's imprisonment.
Details: During a consented search of Jones' apartment on Jan. 19, officers found 55.9 grams of crack cocaine, which he admitted to intending to sell.
Name: Dannie I. Ricks
Age: 29
Residence: Caruthersville, Mo.
Charge: Possession of a firearm by a felon.
Sentence: 63 month's imprisonment.
Details: While Ricks fled from Missouri State Highway Patrol following a suspected failed drug sale with a confidential informant Jan. 28, 2005, he dropped his coat that held a .38 caliber revolver reported stolen in Tennessee. Due to previous felony convictions, Ricks is not allowed to possess firearms.
Name: Barry W. Condict
Age: 48
Residence: Stoddard County
Charge: Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Sentence: 100 month's imprisonment.
Details: Bernie, Mo., police officers conducted a search of Condict's home Oct. 2 and found 29.2 grams of meth packaged in numerous bags for distribution.
Name: Cory Rowe
Age: 36
Residence: New Madrid, Mo.
Charge: Two counts of distribution of cocaine base.
Sentence: 51 month's imprisonment.
Details: Rowe admitted to selling to a confidential informant 4.6 grams of crack cocaine March 18, 2005, for $260, and 2.4 grams for $250 on March 22, 2005.
Name: Vincent Grays
Age: 35
Residence: New Madrid, Mo.
Charge: Distribution of cocaine base.
Sentence: 120 month's imprisonment.
Details: Grays sold 51.6 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant for $1,200 on Jan. 21 in Sikeston, Mo.
PLEADED GUILTY
Name: Demetrius Deberry
Age: 22
Residence: Cape Girardeau
Charge: Two counts of distribution of cocaine base.
Sentence range: Up to 40 years imprisonment and a $2 million fine.
Details: On April 6, 2005, Deberry sold 5.2 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant for $200, and 6 grams of crack for $180 on April 7, 2005. Sentencing was set for Oct. 10.
Name: Dewayne Harris
Age: 48
Residence: Sikeston, Mo.
Charge: Possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute.
Sentence range: Up to 40 years imprisonment and a $4 million fine.
Details: During a search of Harris' home, police found 9.5 grams of crack cocaine in his kitchen and 2.1 grams of the drug on his person. Sentencing was set for Oct. 23.
