The following information was released by the office of U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway for defendants in who appeared in federal court Monday before U.S. District Judge Jean C. Hamilton
SENTENCED
Name: Ricardo M. Bedoya, aka Esteban C. Colon
Age: 63
Residence: South Holland, Ill., and Pereira, Columbia
Charge: Felony possession of heroin with intent to distribute.
Sentence: 108 months' imprisonment.
Details: Bedoya was stopped by Missouri State Highway Patrol in Pemiscot County on Aug. 11. A trooper searching the vehicle found 888.3 grams of heroin Bedoya admitted to obtaining in El Paso, Texas, with the intent to take back to Chicago.
PLEADED GUILTY
Name: Larry Miller
Age: 46
Residence: Clarkton, Mo.
Charge: Two felony counts of distribution of methamphetamine.
Sentence range: Up to eight years imprisonment and a $4 million fine. Sentencing set for Aug. 28.
Details: Miller admitted to selling a confidential informant 2.8 grams of meth for a 10-horsepower motor on Feb. 16. He also admitted that on Feb. 24, he traded 25.8 grams of meth substance for $1,500 worth of diesel fuel.
