ILLINOIS STUDIO PRODUCES DECORATIVE ART

THEBES, Ill. -- Caldwell Studios, which specializes in handmade sculptured paper collages, has opened alongside Route 3, about three miles south of the Thebes Wye.

"We produce decorative art here," said Zac Caldwell, who worked in Knoxville, Tenn. area more than five years. "We feature handmade, sculpted paper to create a variety of artwork suitable for commercial uses, or for the home."

Caldwell added that he could produce customized art pieces to match living room decor, couches, or chairs.

"We use a variety of color palettes," he said. 'we have light naturals creams, linens, taupes, whites or we can go with dark naturals chocolates, greys, some blacks. We also have contemporary brights, primary bold colors, or pastel lights."

Caldwell added that all of the artwork was available in mats, or frames.

"We can produce the art as big as 30 x 40 inches, or as small as 15 x 15," he said.

The company has a regular wholesale line for hotels, motels, and other businesses.

"We ship all over the U.S.," he said.

Caldwell is a native of Southern Illinois, and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in communications.

The business is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
