Illinois road to close temporarily for spring reptile migration
WOLF LAKE, ILL.-- In the Shawnee National Forest, a stretch of LaRue Road No. 345, known as Snake Road, will be temporarily closed for spring reptile migration. The section of road from mile post 5 and post 3.8 will be closed through May 15 as snakes and amphibians migrate from winter hibernation to their swamp habitats.
