SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- The Illinois Department of Conservation is looking for smallmouth bass angler who fish Illinois streams.
"We're looking for anglers who fish the same stream 10 to 20 times a year to and will volunteer to keep a diary of their fishing trip," said Mark Frech, DOC director.
Information gathered will provide fisheries biologists with information to better manager smallmouth bass streams in the northern two thirds of the state.
Angler can volunteer their services by writing Smallmouth Bass Diary Angler Project, Department of Conservation, 2612 Locust ST., Sterling, Ill., 61081, or by calling (815)-625-2968.
