If I wake before I die I'll never sleep again
Eventually I'll voluntarily sign death's oath
but between now and then:
I'll tattoo a poisonous snake on my back
I'll scream unsufferingly when I get mad
I'll ride a Harley on a highway wet with rain
and never wear anything but tight black denim.
I'll spend 40 days in a desert and not let God win
I'll get a scar on my face from a back alley fight
I'll use a night riding after the moon
and I'll force stares when I walk in a room.
I'll go where death learned to hate and reside
I'll shave off my hair and paint my skull red
I'll place pattern scarification on my neck and my wrists
and I won't speak for a week except to laugh and to hiss.
I'll bungee jump on a rope that's too long
I'll crush yellow butterflies in my palm
I'll climb up a mountain and slip on a moss covered rock'
and I'll beat the ---- out of a 6' 250 lb. jock.
I'll burn all my books and bury their ashes in the west muddy ground
I learn more than a sane person should know
I'll no longer need to eat or breathe
and I'll survive on thick freedom and the sweat of the sea.
When I finally wither I'll rot on the ground where I lie
And to the vultures I'll donate every one of my organs.
then I'll voluntarily Die.
