Southbound Interstate 55 in Scott County will be reduced to one lane with a 16-foot width restriction as contractor crews underseal the pavement. This section of highway is from Route M at Scott City to Highway 77 at Benton, Mo. Weather permitting, the work will begin Tuesday at 7 a.m. and will last approximately six days. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
