Northbound Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced nightly to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews mill and overlay the roadway with asphalt. The first section of highway is between Route K and U.S. 61, with work taking place from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday. The second section is between U.S. 61 and Route Y, with the paving work being done from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The work zones will be marked with signs.
