Sections of Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau County and Highway 51 in Bollinger County will be reduced to one lane today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews work.

MoDOT crews will perform pavement repairs on I-55 from the Fruitland/U.S. 61 exit to the Old Appleton exit. Work will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Thursday.

Meanwhile, work on Highway 51 in Bollinger County will begin at Highway 72 east and extend three miles to Route JJ. Crews will conduct tree trimming from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.
