Missouri hunters, anglers and trappers now may buy and view permits with a free mobile application from the Missouri Department of Conservation.
The new MO Hunting app is available through Google Play and iTunes stores for Android and Apple mobile devices. Permits available for purchase or review include hunting, fishing and trapping. Users also may view permits purchased during the previous year.
For deer and turkey hunters, the app may be used to telecheck their kills directly from their related permit within the application through a simple fillable form. MO Hunting also allows hunters to view all deer and turkey they have telechecked, along with associated details.
To log into the app, users will need their conservation number, the nine-digit number found on the back of their heritage card next to the bar code. The conservation number is different from the 16-digit number on the front of the card. The number also can be found on any current or previous permit.
For help locating a conservation number, contact the conservation department by calling 751-4115 during regular business hours and asking for the permits office, or visit mdc.mo.gov/node/5127.
