The white and pink ones were most in demand this Christmas. The $13 action figures have fetched as much as $50 on the black market.

Pam Johnson of Jackson, whose son Jack is a Power Rangers fan, has seen sets of the original six Power Rangers selling for upwards of $200 on the collectibles market.

Bandai America has 16 factories in Mexico and throughout Asia producing the figures.

In addition, Saban Entertainment Inc., which produces the show, has licensed nearly 400 other Power Ranger makers here and abroad, and says sales of Power Ranger merchandise worldwide is expected to reach $1 billion in 1994.
