From 2-3 p.m., individuals will hold placards with pro-life statements and create a "Life Chain." Gatherings are planned at Capaha Park; near Scott City at exit 91 south of the Rhodes Truck Stop on the outer road; and in downtown Sikeston on Malone Avenue and Main Street.

Anyone interested in participating may attend any of the three locations.

The "Life Chain" began in 1987 in Yuba City, Calif. Similar events are planned in 700 cities across the country.
