STE. GENEVIEVE The Missouri Humanities Council is offering a tour of historic Ste. Genevieve on Oct. 5 beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m.
The tour includes the Maison Guibourd-Valle House, the Bolduc House, the Green Tree Inn and the Felix Valle State Historic Site.
Also included is a luncheon lecture by Osmund Overby of the University of Missouri. Overby will speak on the rich architectural heritage of Ste. Genevieve, one of Missouri's earliest settlements.
Ste. Genevieve was founded over two centuries ago by French colonial pioneers and has won the respect of architectural historians for its preservation of more 18th-century French Creole structures than any place in North America.
Tickets for the tour are $45 and space is limited. Reservations may be made by calling the Missouri Humanities Council at (314) 531-1254.
