Howard's Sporting Goods, 900 Broadway, has added a machine that gives the store an added dimension.
"It's an embroidery machine," said James Green, one of the managers. "The new equipment is designed to allow us to do elaborate monogramming and stitching on sweaters, caps, and other items of clothing."
The machine has been placed on the retail floor.
"We can reproduce logos, do our own finish work on caps and a number of other complicated designs," said Green. "It ties in with several things that we do here, including lettering for high school jackets, sweaters and other items."
Green said the two managers of a the store he and Terry Slattery were trained to operate the machine.
