Horizons center benefits from first golf fund raiser

Horizons Enrichment Center, a facility that assists adults with developmental and mental disabilities, recently held a benefit golf outing at Jaycee Municipal Golf Course. The outing raised $3,300, which enabled the center to purchase a 15-passenger van.

The center is a joint effort between College of Health and Human Services and Department of Human Environmental Studies at Southeast Missouri State University and St. Vincent de Paul Church.

Carroll Williams was the celebrity golf pro for the event.

Winners of the first-place championship were Dennis Roth, Eddie Craft, John Litzelfelner and Robert Forrester. Second-place winners were Jody Ponder, Cary Roth, Dave Grehing and Dave Wunderlich. In third place were Tyler Thrower, Mark Strand and Rockie Strand.
