Homicide victim dumped at Kansas City hospital

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City police are trying to find the driver of a car that pulled up to the entrance of a hospital and dropped off the victim of a fatal gunshot wound.

Police said they learned that the dead man was left at the hospital Monday night, soon after officers responded to an unfounded report of a disturbance at a nearby apartment building.

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide.

Detectives processed the suspected crime scene at the apartment building.

The name of the dead man has not been released.
