SCOTT CITY -- Amy Marie Holmes, a senior at Scott City High School, has been selected as a presidential scholar at Maryville College in St. Louis.
She is one of 10 1991 graduates to be awarded the scholarship, which pays tuition plus room and board.
Holmes is a member of National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Pep Club, Physics Club and Students Against Driving Drunk. She is business manager of the yearbook and was selected to attend the Missouri Scholars Academy and was selected student of the month by the Breakfast Exchange Club of Cape Girardeau.
She is the daughter of Larry and Helen Holmes of Scott City.
