As early on as her student years at Southeast Missouri State University, Holly Lintner began impacting the community, says Nancy Jernigan of the United Way.

"She has always been an active community citizen, working with our legislators to support their efforts, working through the chamber to support our business community and now, working with the United Way to pull together all of the resources she has come to know for the betterment of all those in our community."

Holly says the best part of working as a resource development manager with the United Way is the array of people she encounters.

"I get to work with the administrators in the different organizations and all the great people who work for them," she said. "At the same time I get to work with the agencies and hear all the great stories they all have."

State Rep. Nathan Cooper, who also recommended Holly, says, "Holly has worked hard to better the community through her political involvement as well as her work with United Way. This work ensures local charities have the funds needed to continue their services."

Holly is inspired by all she meets through her job.

"The community is very giving, very open to sharing a portion of themselves through volunteerism and some of their income," she said.
