Grand champion winners at this year's History Day/Science Fair at St. Vincent de Paul School were Laura Hoffman and Chad Heuschober.
Hoffman completed a history project entitled "A Great American Tale: The Oregon Trail."
Heuschober completed a science project called "Flooded Farmlands."
The annual fair is a required activity for all students in grades six through eight. Participants in the science program complete experiments in various categories of science. History Day competitors complete project, historical papers or performances on this year's theme, "Geography in History: People, Places, Time."
Students will move on to the district level of the competitions to be held in March and April.
