Historical society to host banquet Saturday

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- The Perry County Lutheran Historical Society in Altenburg will host a banquet Saturday for the the second biennial Immigration History Conference.

Keynote speaker will be Michael Wallis, voice actor from the Disney/Pixar motion picture "Cars." Wallis also is a historian, author and storyteller with ties to the area. The Saxony Lutheran Chamber Choir will perform.

The banquet will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Lutheran Heritage Center and Museum, 75 Church St. in Altenburg. A limited number of seats remain and can be reserved by calling the museum at 573-824-6070.
