"Trends in Medical-Surgical Nursing `93," a seminar for medical-surgical nurses, critical care nurses and nursing students, will be hosted Oct. 13 by Southeast Missouri Hospital.

The meeting will be held from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Cape Girardeau's Drury Lodge. The seminar will focus on the assessment, treatment and management of patients with diabetes mellitus and patients undergoing total hip replacement procedures.

The seminar has been approved by the Missouri Nurses Association for 7.2 contact hours. The registration fee is $30 for nurses and $10 for students.
