Patrons of the Fair saw Hinkebein demonstrating a special skill on "How to Maintain and Care for a Horse." These demonstrations are a popular free attraction in the 4-H Building each year. The demonstrations provide a special opportunity for 4-H members to share skills they have learned from their leaders and to develop their public speaking ability. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions of the demonstrators.

Members of the State 4-H Council and Collegiate 4-H Clubs in Missouri preside at the demonstration sections as a part of their leadership responsibilities to 4-H programs.
