Pace Construction Co. of St. Louis was awarded a $4,970,184 contract for road improvements in Cape Girardeau, Mississippi, Scott and Stoddard counties. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the contract Feb. 4 during a video conference meeting. The project includes resurfacing 35 miles of Highway 25 in Cape Girardeau and Stoddard counties. U.S. 60 in Mississippi County and Highway 77 in Scott County will also receive improvements. The U.S. 60 work will extend from Interstate 57 to the Mississippi River bridge. Improvements to Highway 77 will extend from U.S. 61 to about four miles south of Chaffee, Mo. Work could begin as early as spring, with completion anticipated by next winter. For more information, contact MoDOT's Customer Service Center 1-888-275-6636.
