Highway 72 in Madison County reduced for pavement construction

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Highway 72 in Madison County, from the Madison County line to Business Route 67, will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews seal the roadway with a mixture of rock and oil. Weather permitting, the work will be done from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 2 to 8. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
