Hidden-treasure hunting at Murtaugh Park

BELOW: Davis uses his metal detector. The park was dedicated in 1928 in memory of the Rev. James A. Murtaugh, C.M., a civic-minded Catholic priest who served the Vincentian parish and schools here. Through the city of Cape Girardeau's Transportation Trust Fund Phase 4, which voters approved in 2010, the park will more than double in size with the removal of the street in front of the Red House Interpretive Center.
