Henry Lee Rambo, 91, of Pontiac, Illinois, formerly of Lutesville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Lutesville to Neil and Lela Stevens Rambo. He married Wanda Goad on May 21, 1954, in St. Louis. She survives in Pontiac.

Henry was employed by Pontiac Chair Factory and Chief City Redi-Mix. He was Lutheran by faith. He belonged to Rustic Auto and Pontiac Moose Lodge.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons, Richard (Debra) Rambo and Philip (Jill) Rambo, both of Pontiac, Douglas (Judy) Rambo of Greenbriar, Arkansas, and David (Nancy) Rambo of North Port, Florida; a brother, Jesse (Betty) Rambo of Marble Hill; 14 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; half brother, C.L. Duckett; grandson, Matthew Rambo; and granddaughter, Lacy Rambo.

Cremation rites will be accorded with a celebration of life at a later date.

Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home of Pontiac is in charge of arrangements.
