CAPE GIRARDEAU -- There has been a delay in the American Heart Association residential campaign in Cape Girardeau, according to Cynthia Seabaugh, southeast regional coordinator.
Due to a delay in obtaining block workers and preparing residential kits to mail, local volunteers should expect to receive their packets sometime this week.
Ordinarily, the residential campaign takes place during February. But this year the campaign will be held in March, Seabaugh said.
Volunteers will begin soliciting contributions on their blocks as soon as they receive their kits. After the contributions have been totaled, kits should be taken to Boatmen's Bank on Mt. Auburn.
For more information, call the local American Heart Association office at 335-3240.
