BENTON, Mo. -- The next court appearance has been set for a Sikeston, Mo., man charged following a fatal accident.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Aug. 22 in Scott County Associate Court for Mark Lee Jobe, 47. Jobe is charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and failure to obey a traffic control device in connection with a fatal accident July 17 at the intersection of East Malone Avenue and Ingram Road.
Kimberly Maclin, 53, of Sikeston died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The initial investigation into the accident indicated Jobe was traveling in excess of the speed limit on East Malone and failed to stop at a stop light. Jobe's vehicle struck a vehicle being driven by Maclin.
