Hearing continued in Kennett murder case

KENNETT, Mo. -- A Kennett man charged with several felony counts has had his hearing continued to Feb. 10 after appearing in Circuit Court late last week.

Glen D. Morgan is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of distribution of a controlled substance and an alternative count of second-degree and felony murder in the death of Autumn Medley, also of Kennett.

Medley's body was discovered lying by a county road near Gibson, Missouri, in September 2012. An autopsy determined the cause of death was a drug overdose. It is alleged that Morgan injected Medley with a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl, causing her death.
