Health center releases flu shot clinic schedule for Cape County

The Cape Girardeau Public Health Center has released the 2012 flu shot clinic schedule. Flu shots and mists will be available at the following locations:n 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Osage Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau

* 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Delta Community Center, 211 E. State St. in Delta

* 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 19 at the American Legion hall, 319 N. High St. in Jackson

* 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at Cape Girardeau Fire Station No. 1, 1 S. Sprigg St. in Cape Girardeau

* 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Jackson Fire Station, 525 S. Hope St. in Jackson

Flu shots or flu mists will be $20. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted and no one will be denied due to lack of money.

Beginning on Tuesday, flu immunizations will be available on a walk-in basis from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the County Health Center, 1121 Linden St. in Cape Girardeau. Nurses can come to vehicles if residents have difficulty walking. For more information, call 335-7846, extension 3.
