Hazardous waste programs and changes in voting laws will program topics at Thursday night's general meeting of the League of Women Voters of Cape Girardeau County.
Speaking on hazardous waste programs will be Ed Sadler, director of hazardous waste programs for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Voting changes will be explained by Rodney Miller, Cape Girardeau county clerk.
The meeting, which is open to everyone, will be held at Mr. B's Gathering Place, Kingshighway and Independence. Those who wish may meet at 6 p.m. for dinner; the meeting will begin at 7 p.m., and Frances Harris, league president, will preside.
LWV is a non-partisan political organization aimed at helping voters to be active in and informed on government at all levels. Visitors are welcome at all meetings.
