A Hayti, Missouri, man was killed while three others were badly hurt in a head-on crash Thursday night on U.S. 61 two miles north of New Madrid, Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened just after 9 p.m., when a truck driven by Steven Cameron, 44, of Marston, Missouri, crossed the center line and struck a truck driven by Leo House III, 54, causing House’s vehicle to overturn.

House was pronounced dead at the scene. Passengers Cynthia House, 54, suffered serious injuries, and Leo House IV, 29, had moderate injuries. All the victims in House’s vehicle are from Hayti.

Leo House IV was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, while the other two surviving victims were flown to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
