SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Harry Hugh Wilkinson of Scott City will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Jack Bishop will officiate, with burial in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.

Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. Friday. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.

Wilkinson, 85, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 24, 1911, at Commerce, son of Leroy M. and Emma Miller Wilkinson. He and Iva Anna Kneezle Gibson were married June 6, 1964, in East Prairie.

Wilkinson was a heavy equipment operator with the Corps of Engineers 30 years, retiring in 1966. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 184 and Order of Eastern Star at Morley, and Scottish Rite of St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Floyd Gibson of Barnhart, Don Gibson of Houston, Texas; a brother, Ben Wilkinson of Scott City; five stepchildren; and a great-stepgrandson.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
